Hi! I'm Bartłomiej. Call me Bartek.

I like to investigate and understand things around me. I like to calculate, design, implement and explore.

I am a Deep Learning Software Engineer exerienced in academic and industrial projects focused on artificial intelligence. Currently, I serve as a Research Engineer at EPFL, Switzerland.

Experiments at CERN

Prior to joining EPFL, I worked on deep learning at Intel, in the IoT and AI groups (2018-2022). I was awarded MSc (2021) and BSc (2020) in Control Engineering and Robotics from Gdańsk University of Technology, Poland. During my studies, I did internships at CERN (2020, 2019; Switzerland), USFQ (2019; Ecuador), and Karunya Institute (2018; India). In 2017-2021, I led the Gradient AI Science Club, where I coordinated research projects, grants, and collaboration with the industry. In 2020, I was awarded student of the year at Gdańsk University of Technology for overall scientific approach.

My research interests are centered around artificial intelligence and smart robotics, especially computer vision and brain-inspired machine learning.

Can deep learning provide new insights into the brain? Will machines be able to exhibit intelligent behavior indistinguishable from humans? I hope that my small contribution to scientific and technological development will bring us closer to groundbreaking advances in machine intelligence.
